In September 1960 the Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church was founded and pastored by the elected Rev. Beatrice Diana Bostic for 38 years.  Today the church is pastored by its 2nd pastor, Suffragan Bishop Dr. Errol O’Savio. 

The Lord continues to add to Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church as it relocates to several locations over the years as the church grows and has also survived a fire.

The Church is affiliated to the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and continues to serve the residents of Mt. Vernon and neighboring cities.

The Mt. Olivet Church has been cited for its contribution to the City of Mt. Vernon by the President of the United States, The Governor of the state of New York, Mayors and City Council of Mt. Vernon.

The community is served through the teaching of the Word, community events and outreach, prayer, and advocacy.

As the church continues to grow and look for additional ways to serve the people, it has commenced a Building Fund to extend its current structure.  This will allow for more space to provide needed programs to its membership and the community.
