Rev. Kimber Batiste is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She came to serve the Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church over 36 year, beginning under the pastorate of the late Rev. Emeritus Beatrice Bostic. Upon the passing of the mantle of leadership to Bishop Errol O’Savio Rev. Batiste continues to support the ministry. Understanding the call to stewardship she faithfully serves as the church secretary, member of the trustee board, Christian Education Instructor, Vice President of the Women’s Ministry, Director of the Choir, Director of the Women’s Drama/Interpretive Praise Dance Ministry and puppet ministry.
In January 2011 she as elevated to the office of Assistant Pastor of the Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Ministries. Throughout the years Pastor Kim has been instrumental in establishing the “Toy’s for Tots” drive and the M.O.A.F.C food pantry. Through these venues of ministry the Mt. Olivet church has become a source of encouragement and refuge for those in need.
Rev. Batiste’s love for service has extended beyond the walls of her local church. She is a former member of the Tri-County Women’s Club of the National Association of Colored Women’s Club. A former member of the Mt. Vernon Interfaith Choir. Within the New York State council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the world Rev. Batiste has served as Young People’s Vice President, Assistant to the State Minister of Music, and Coordinator of the Women’s ministry outreach team. For three years she held the office of Assistant Superintendent then eight years as Superintendent of the Christian Education Auxiliary and currently serves as the Director of Christian Education. She continues to service the New York State Council as assistant to the Bishop of Protocol and program coordinator.
On a regional level Rev. Batiste held the office of Assistant Treasurer and then was appointed Region II of the ICEA Program Coordinator. Her experience and love for the people of God afforded her the opportunity to also work on an International Level with the International Christian Education, PAW.
Rev. Batiste not only has a deep passion for ministry, she is also an entrepreneur- president of Kreation’s Event Planning and Floral design affords her the opportunity with her creative style to capture the dreams and execute the event beyond expectation. Pastor Kim believes that God has called her to make a positive, spiritual impact in the lives of women and communities of all ages, race and spiritual backgrounds. She believes in USS- Unity, Strength and Support as the keys in promoting and making a positive impact in the Kingdom of God.
In 2020 Rev. Kimberly Batiste accepted the appointment of District Elder in the Zimbabwe council by her pastor Diocesan Bishop Errol O’Savio.
Along with her husband, Deacon Delbert Batiste, Sr. and son-Delbert Batiste Jr. they continue to serve the Mt. Olivet Apostolic Faith Church Ministries and the community of Mt. Vernon.
Rev Kimberly Batiste lives and believes if she can help somebody as she travels along, if she could do her duty in word or song, if she can show somebody that they are traveling wrong then her living will not be in vain.
